The question our phones hear most in summer is the simplest one: is the Green Canyon open today? The short answer — the lake never closes, but the boats keep a season, roughly May to October, and outside those months the jetty goes quiet. The longer answer, the one that actually decides whether tomorrow works, depends on which coast your hotel sits on, because pickup days differ.
The season, honestly
Tours run roughly May to October — roughly, because the shoulder weeks shift a little each year with weather and demand. Within the season the lake itself is remarkably dependable: it is a sheltered mountain reservoir, and the ordinary coastal wind that cancels sea trips rarely troubles it. A departure lost to weather is the exception, not a summer routine.
Sailing days by coast
The Side–Manavgat coast — Side, Kumköy, Çolaklı, Evrenseki, Titreyengöl, Sorgun, Kızılağaç, Gündoğdu, Kızılot and their neighbours — is collected every day in season. The Alanya coast, from Okurcalar through Avsallar and Konaklı to Alanya and Mahmutlar, also runs daily through the summer season. Belek and Antalya, including Lara and Kundu, are the exception: pickups run on Mondays and Thursdays only.
