What You Eat and Drink on the Green Canyon Tour
Quick answer
What the classic tour serves on board, how the catamaran differs, and the one meal you should never skip before pickup.
After pickup times, food is the question we answer most — so here is the straight version. Our two tours feed you differently: the classic boat tour is built around a freshly prepared lunch served on board, while the shorter catamaran keeps things lighter. Nobody needs to pack a picnic, but a little planning at breakfast makes both days better.
Lunch on the classic boat tour
The classic tour spends about four and a half hours on the water, and its centrepiece meal is prepared fresh on board — not a packed box loaded at the jetty. Lunch is served while the lake does the scenery, between unhurried swim stops: a dining room whose view does all the talking.
Drinks arrangements can vary from boat to boat, so check the tour page and follow the crew's lead on the day — a small bottle of water from the hotel is never wrong. Live prices are always on our prices page — the tour starts from €33 per adult, and children aged 3 to 11 pay a reduced child rate.
The catamaran keeps it lighter
The catamaran is the shorter format — roughly two and a half hours, one swim stop, and a spacious open deck that guests choose for the sunshine rather than the menu. We deliberately do not promise lunch on it: it is a lighter trip, and the current inclusions are always listed on the catamaran tour page. If a long, hot lunch on the water matters to you, the classic tour is your day.
Eat breakfast — and bring a small bottle
Both tours include hotel pickup and the coach leaves in the morning, so have a proper breakfast before the transfer rather than counting on grazing en route. Your exact pickup time is confirmed the day before, once the route is set. A small bottle of water in your bag is absolutely fine; beyond that, come with an appetite and let the boat do the rest.
